Captured prisoner of war at La Bassee 22/12/1914 and held at Wittenberg Camp, and later transferred 30/05/1916 for internment at Chateau d’Oex, Switzerland. Discharged due to debility following Typhus, Gastric Ulcer and Pleurisy whilst in captivity.
