Husband of Mrs. A. Litherland (formerly Davies), of 4, Henry Street, Tyldesley, Lancashire, formerly of 15, Lower Elliott Street, Tyldesley, Lancashire, and 2, Lower Green, Astley, Lancashire. Received a very slight shrapnel wound in August 1915. Killed when a cart he was travelling in got into a flooded river in France and he drowned. Service number reported as 1684 in BJ&G.
