Son of the late Rev. James Dixon, a Wesleyan minister, and Mrs. Dixon, of 98, Bramhall Lane, Stockport, Cheshire. Of 270, Rishton Lane, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. An old Boy of Bolton Grammar School (1902-1909). Formerly Birmingham Bn., Royal Warwickshire Regiment., commissioned Second Lieutenant in December 1914. Promoted Lieutenant September 1915. Wounded in the head, right arm and legs by bombs in early 1916. Formerly 8th Bn., South Staffs Regiment until transfer to Royal Air Force 01/04/1918.
