Formerly employed as a labourer at the works of Messrs. Hick Hargreaves. Sustained gunshot wounds to both legs and died at No.17 Casualty Clearing Station. Previous service 17/01/1908 to 09/04/1911 as Rifleman 8559, King’s Royal Rifle Corps, largely in India, discharged.
