Son of John Thomas Glassbrook, of 103, Queensgate, Bolton, Lancashire. Wounded in October 1917 and underwent treatment at No.2 Canadian General Hospital at Le Treport, France and later in Netley Hospital in November having had his left leg amputated just above the knee and suffering from wounds in the left arm and shell shock, caused by a shell dropped from an aeroplane.
