Son of the late Mr. Henry Grover, formerly colonel of 3rd Volunteer Bn., Welsh Regiment. Nephew of resident of Sisley Cottage, Worsley, Lancashire. Enlisted 1904 and returned from India in 1911. A reservist mobilised on the outbreak. Posted missing after the Mons battle in August 1914 and subsequently confirmed prisoner of war.
