Son of Mr. and Mrs. Grundy, of 28, Manchester Road West, Little Hulton, Lancashire. Formerly employed by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company as a booking clerk at Ringley Station. Enlisted March 1917. Formerly Private 37190, 9th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Reported missing since 27/05/1918 and subsequently confirmed prisoner of war in Germany, and suffered dysentery whilst in captivity.
