Son of Samuel Theodore and Margaret Alice Hilton (nee Pemberton), of Tyldesley, Lancashire; husband of Hannah Hilton (nee Whittaker), of 114, Shuttle Street, Tyldesley, Lancashire. Formerly Private 1670, 4th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Wounded 09/08/1916. Wounded in the left forearm in late 1918 resulting in permanent damage to the ligaments and tendons of his ring and little finger. Later emigrated to Ontario, Canada.
