Of 34, Bangor Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 22 King Street and 11, Peel Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Caught as a deserter from Oswestry since July 1916 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 29/08/1916 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/27).
