Son of Mrs. Harriet Hodgkinson, of 17, Calvert Road, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 30, Pennington Road, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Private 2970, 3rd/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Reported missing from 30/11/1917, and subsequently confirmed prisoner of war at Limburg. Repatriated to the King George Hospital, London, in August 1918 due to shrapnel wound to hip and buttock, and amputation of the left leg. Reported in BJ&G and HODKINSON.
