Appeared whilst stationed at Hockney Wick Camp, Redcar as defendant before Bolton Magistrates 21/01/1918 in a Bastardy case brought by Phyllis Roscoe of 79, Lee Avenue for her illegitimate child born 10/10/1917. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/29 & JBO/11/6/48). Medal card indicated medals forfeit for desertion 24/07/1918 and subsequently reinstated.
