Son of Leslie Welsman Litting and Anna Catherine Litting, of 301, Burton Road, Derby, Derbyshire. Formerly of Roundthorn Lane, Westhoughton and Derby Street, Bolton. An old boy of Thornleigh Salesian College. Formerly 657 General Construction Company, Royal Engineers. Died at Brighton Royal Infirmary from wounds. Reported to be the first soldier from Derby to be killed in WWII. Interred 05/06/1940.
