Montgomery, William –

Son of Mrs. Montgomery, of 19, Raglan Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly employed at Messrs. Slaters’ Bleachworks at Dunscar. A reservist who previously had six years of service in India before the outbreak of war was mobilised 06/08/1914. Missing since the battle of Mons on 27/08/1914 and later confirmed killed. Reported to have been hit in the arm, shoulder, and chest by shrapnel.
