Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Morris, of Doffcocker, Bolton; brother of Frances Lewis, of 45, Markland Hill Lane, Bolton, Lancashire. Resided at the Urbana Hotel, Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A. Whilst taking part in the attack from Vrely to South of Maucourt he was hit in the head and killed by an enemy machine gun bullet. Two brothers also served.
