Husband of Jane Ellinor Mowat, of Dovercourt, Essex; brother of Dr. G. Mowat, of Higher Bridge Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly a Fleet Surgeon, Royal Navy, on the Hermes, surviving her torpedoeing in the North Sea early in the War, and subsequently commissioned in the Royal Army Medical Corps. Reported missing August 1915.
