Son of Robert Henry and Sarah Jane Openshaw (nee Fielding); husband of Nancy Openshaw, of 15, Southern Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Reported missing after an attack west of Passchendale on 26/10/1917, subsequently presumed killed. A brother who served in the Royal Engineers had a greengrocer’s business in Cecil Street, Haulgh. Another brother also served.
