Formerly Second Lieutenant, 1st/4th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment; Formerly Royal Flying Corps, transferred to Royal Air Force 01/04/1918. Wounded 02/01/1916. Reported missing June 1917 and subsequently confirmed captured prisoner of war.
