Son of Alfred and Emily Rothwell (nee Horrocks), of 44, Halliwell Road, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Mary Rothwell, of 5, Ida Street, st. Catherines, Ontario, Canada. Late of Bolton. Eldest of four soldier brothers. Reported missing since an attack at Courcelette on 15/09/1916 and subsequently presumed killed. His father served at Salonika with the Royal Army Service Corps before being discharged as unfit.
