Rudd, William –

Of 30, Back Stoneclough Road, Kearsley, Lancashire. Joined the Lancashire Fusiliers in 1891; served in the South African Campaign, and wounded in the hip. Joined the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment in September 1914, and was discharged in May 1915, whence due to his hip injury, he joined the Lancashire Fusiliers on home duty. Died at Townleys Hospital from Septic Poisoning, and interred in Kearsley (St. Stephen) Churchyard on 07/02/1917.
