Son of Margaret Ellen Denton (formerly Salisbury), of 119, Folds Road, Bolton, Lancashire, and the late George Salirbury. Enlisted 1914. Wounded October 1916 by shrapnel in the face, arms and legs. Seriously wounded by a sniper to the head and ankle September 1917 and treated at Raynor Court Hospital, Bowdon, Cheshire / Stockport Military Hospital.
