Son of William and Ellen Waddington, of 39, Worcester Street, Higher Broughton, Lancashire. Enlisted September 1914. Drafted to Egypt and then to Gallipoli. Invalided to England with enteric fever December 1915 from which he never recovered and died at hospital in Cardiff, Glamorganshire.
