Hamer, James –

Brother of Miss Mary Hamer, of 27, Water Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Previously served 2 years in the Militia. Caught as an absentee from Hastings since 12/01/1917 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 25/01/1917 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/27).

Hardman, Wilfred –

Son of James Hardman, of 2100, Gallagher Avenue, Weston, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Aunt lived at 13, Bank Street, Farnworth, Lancashire.

Hardy, Alfred –

Son of George and Sarah Ellen Hardy, of Prince Rupert, British Columbia, Canada; brother of Sydney Hardy, of Murton Terrace, Astley Bridge, Bolton, Lancashire. Struck by a piece of shrapnel just below the heart and died instantly. Two brothers James and Fred also served, and both had been wounded. Birtenshaw Wesleyan School.

Harrell, Percy Townsend –

Son of William Henry and Elizabeth Townsend Harrell. Next of kin recorded as Mrs. P. Southworth, of 95, Villa Road, Oldham, Lancashire on enlistment. Formerly resided at 89, Cawdor Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Captured prisoner of war.

Husband of Mrs. L. Harrison, of 12, Stainsbury Street, Daubhill, Bolton, Lancashire. Reported missing since 04/06/1916. Brothers Robert and William both serving in the Army.
