Mullineux, Stanley –

Younger son of Simeon and Elizabeth A. Mullineux, of 29, Walkden Road, Walkden, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1917.

Newton, William –

Norris, Edward –

Son of the late Richard and Mary Ann Norris, of 106, Park Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1915.

Nuttall, John –

Son of Sam and Hannah Nuttall, of 2, Darley Grove, Farnworth, Lancashire. Killed at Renthel. Reputedly the first Farnworth man killed of the war.

Prescott, Norman –

Son of Harry and Nora Prescott, of Hulme, Manchester, Lancashire; husband of Winnie Prescott, of Trafford Park, Manchester, Lancashire. Formerly Royal Artillery.

Reynolds, Harry –

Of 40, Weston Street, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted February 1916. Wounded on The Somme in September 1916.

Robinson, John –

Eldest son of Mrs. Pennington, of 5, Wellington Buildings, Blackburn Road, Astley Bridge, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly employed in the Coal Department of the Bolton Co-Operative Society. Enlisted February 1915. Reported missing since 15/09/1916 and subsequently reported killed.

Rollinson, John –

Son of Mrs. Rollinson, of 2, Topping Street, Halliwell, Bolton, Lancashire. Served four years in the Bolton Artillery territorials before enlisting for war service. Service number recorded as 1310 on CWGC.

Rothwell, John Henry –

Of 16, Leicester Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Discharged suffering from nephritis, gastritis, and bronchitis. First discharged Bolton soldier to receive his 1914 Mons Star medal.

Rounce, John –

Son of Walter Rounce, of 252, Walkden Road, Worsley, Lancashire; husband of Elizabeth Rounce. Joined up Februayr 1917. Posted missing since 13/04/1918, and subsequently presumed killed.

Russell, Stuart Hugh Minto –

Son of Sir Charles Lennox Somerville Russell and of Lady Russell (nee Elliot), of Crooksbury Hurst, Surrey. B.A.(Cantab.). Member of Parliament for the Darwen Division of Lancaster since 1935. Parliamentary Private Secretary to under Secretary of State for Air, 1936-37. Parliamentary Private Secretary to Chancellor of the Exchequer, 1937-38. His brother Raymond Lennox Somerville Russell also died.
