Of 44, Lord Street, Burnley, Lancashire. Contracted malaria on service in Salonika 10/07/1917.

Son of Alfred and Emma Mather, of 77, Randal Street, Daubhill, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted October 1915. Formerly 7457, 3rd/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Second of two sons killed within a month, a third served with the Royal Army Medical Corps in France.
