Enlisted 10/02/1903 at Chester as John Marsden, Private 7700, 2nd Bn., King’s Own Royal Lancaster Regiment and discharged on termination of his period of engagement 29/02/1916. Re-enlisted. Wounded.

Watson, Arthur –

Husband of Mrs. Watson, of 6, Old Road, Astley Bridge, Bolton, Lancashire. Of 17, Baber Street, Astley Bridge, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1915. Died in hospital from serious gunshot wounds in the lungs. Brother of Sergeant J. Watson, of the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.

Of 45, Wyresdale Road, Bolton, Lancashire. An old boy of Bolton Municipal Secondary School. Formerly 2714, 1st/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Wounded 09/08/1916.

Wharton, Thomas Henry –

Son of Thomas and Sarah Ann Wharton, of 22, Sharman Street, Burnden Park, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly employed by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company in the engine shed at Crescent Road, Bolton. Enlisted May 1915. Formerly Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Two brothers also served.
