Son of Mr. and Mrs. Sellers, of 6, Richelieu Street, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted February 1915. Previously wounded on 22/01/1916 and recovered. Reported missing on 17/02/1917 and later confirmed prisoner of war in Limburg with a head wound.

Sharrocks, Alfred –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Sharrocks, of 39, Shipton Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Erroneously reported killed on 21/03/1918 and later verified to be prisoner of war in Germany.

Shaw, William H –

Husband of Alice Shaw, of 90, Station Road, Swinton, Lancashire. Formerly employed at Agecroft Colliery. Enlisted 1914. Wounded in the hip 31/05/1917.

Sims, William Henry –

Son of William Henry and Alice Sims, of 46, John Street, Pendleton, Lancashire; husband of Bessie Moore Sims, of 2, Mary Street, Pendleton, Lancashire.

Slater, Richard Henry –

Son of the late Richard Henry and Mary Ann Slater, of Tiverton, Devon. Formerly 6016. Served since 1904.

Small, Thomas –

Eldest son of John and Martha Small, of 13, Sheridan Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 11, Chapel Lane, Coppull, Lancashire. Admitted to No.7 Canadian General Hospital on 05/09/1916, suffering from an extensive wound in the thigh and gas gangrene.

Smethurst, William –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. William Smethurst, of 51, Brookfield Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Fought at the Somme, Arras, and High Wood battles. Succumbed to a shrapnel wound in the left arm.

Son of Robert Vanghan Smith and Harriet Elizabeth Smith, of 266, Great Clowes Street, Lower Broughton, Lancashire.

Southern, Thomas –

Husband of Emily Southern, of 24, Milo Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Previously resided at 11, Lancaster Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted March 1915. His body was found in College Mill Stream, Winchester, Hampshire.
