Son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Riley, of 18, York Street, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Mr. Riley Sr. served seven years with Gordon Highlanders, including service in Afghanistan and the South African Campaign.

Roberts, Robert –

Son of John and Mary Roberts, of 31, Lilly Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 39, Oxford Grove, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly 1266, 1st/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Wounded in the right wrist by shrapnel September 1915. Listed as serving at the time of death with the 6th (King’s Shropshire Light Infantry) Bn., Herefordshire Regiment.

Roscoe, Francis Herbert –

Husband of Emily Thomasson (formerly Roscoe), of 6, Temple Road, Halliwell, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 35, Ellesmere Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Previously enlisted 10/10/1914 at Bolton as Private 47059, Royal Army Medical Corps, and discharged 17/11/1914 as not likely to become an efficient soldier. Re-enlisted January 1915. Missing since 25/05/1915 and subsequently presumed killed on or since that date.
