Son of Mr. and Mrs. Hall, of 63, Grecian Street, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly King’s Royal Rifle Corps. Wounded at Gallipoli. Wounded in the left hand by shrapnel at Ypres.

Harbot, Robert –

Son of Mrs. Harbot, of 26, Pole Street, Tonge Moor, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly 41662, Royal Army Medical Corps.

Harley, William –

Son of George Arthur and Hannah Harley, of 60, Corwen Avenue, Harpurhey, Manchester, Lancashire.

Haslam, George –

Of 14, Livingstone Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly 562, Rifle Brigade. Suffered Malaria whilst on service in India and never fully recovered.

Higginbottom, Peter –

Son of James and Ann Higginbottom; husband of Lucy Chapman (formerly Higginbottom), of 2, Branson Street, Salford, Lancashire. Worked for Salford Corporation Borough Engineers Department.

Higginson, James –

Son of James Herbert Higginson (recorded as “Mr. I. H. Higginson” on CWGC), of 21, Horrocks Street, Smithills, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1915.

Holden, Claude W –

Eldest son of Captain E. C. Holden. A nephew of Colonel J. W. Slater. Enlisted into the Canadian Mounted Rifles in 1914. Commissioned into the Rifle Brigade. Wounded and in a base hospital in December 1917.

Holden, John W –

Grandson of Mrs. Fenton, of 28, Charles Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Private 42766, Royal Army Medical Corps.

Holden, Samuel –

Of 60, George Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Caught aged 31 as an absentee from Sheerness since 30/03/1915 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 09/04/1915 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/26)
