Son of Samuel and Mary Haydock. An old boy of the Bolton Church Institute. Formerly employed as a clerk at the Westinghouse works in Manchester. Enlisted as Private 2942 / 241040, 2nd/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Hayes, of 32, Herd Street, Pendleton, Lancashire. Formerly Driver 1827, Royal Engineers.

Hayes, James –

Son of Mrs. Hayes, of 60, Daisy Street, Daubhill, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted April 1916. Wounded and taken prisoner of war in Germany.

Hedley, William –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Hedley, of 5, Hughes Street, Halliwell, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Lance Corporal 1182, Royal Engineers. Wounded in the shoulder and abdomen 21/01/1916.

Heelis, James –

Son of John and Jane Heelis, of 471, Chorley Old Road, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Fanny Heelis, of 21, Hastings Road, and later 18 Woodfield Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Also served as 279677 in Royal Engineers. Died 06/04/1922 and interred 12/04/1922 at Bolton (Heaton) Cemetery.

Husband of Mrs. Hemingway, of 32, Bertrand Road, Ferns Park, Bolton, Lancashire. Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects. Formerly Rifleman, King’s Royal Rifle Corps. Commissioned 1917.

Brother of Mr. John Hennessy, of 111, Crown Lane, Horwich, Lancashire. Served at Gallipoli.

Heron, Edwin –

Son of William Joseph Heron, of 7, Napoleon Street, Cottesloe, Perth, Western Australia, and the late Teresa Heron, formerly of 142, Church Street, Pendleton, Lancashire. Formerly resided with Mrs. Hough, at 4, Mather Fold, Ellenbrook, Lancashire. Enlisted September 1914. Formerly Private Y/636, King’s Royal Rifle Corps. Died of pneumonia at Salonika.

Son of Edward and Annie Heyes, of Farnworth, Lancashire. Recorded also as HAYES. Formerly Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.

Heywood, George Stanley –

Son of James Halvor Heywood and Mary Haywood, of 38, Russell Street, Bolton, Lancashire. An old boy of Bolton Municipal Secondary School. En-route home for demobilisation after serving in the intelligence branch of the General Headquarters in Mesopotamia when he died from pneumonia. Younger brother died in France about three years earlier.
