Oldfield, Fred –

Only son of Joseph and Anne Oldfield, of 70, Leigh Road, Boothstown, Lancashire. Formerly employed as a plumber on the Earl of Ellesmere’s estate. Enlisted under the Derby Scheme (“Group System”) and called up for service 22/09/1916. Reported missing 30/11/1917 and subsequently confirmed captured prisoner of war.
