Ratcliffe, John Thomas –

Husband of Mary Ratcliffe (nee Doyle), of 218, Bolton Road, Westhoughton, Lancashire. Formerly 2nd Labour Bn. Previously served 15 months in the Pioneer Regiment., discharged 06/03/1901. Aged 46 years at time of enlistment. Suffered gas poisoning in October 1915, and was knocked out on 02/12/1915. Appointed Transport Sergeant Major of the 3rd Volunteer Bn., Gloucester Regiment., August 1917.
