Worked for Salford Corporation Lighting and Cleansing Department. Enlisted March 1915. Formerly 306021, Lancashire Fusiliers; formerly 405141, Labour Corps.

Casson, Harry Gent –

Son of James and Hannah Casson, of 395, Bury Road, Tonge, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of the late Nellie Casson (nee Edge), and formerly of 264, Burton Road, Lincoln, Lincs. An old boy of the Bolton Church Institute. Formerly 28th Bn., London Regiment. Died from shell wounds to the head and shoulder at No.1 Australian Casualty Clearing Station, St. Venant, Pas de Calais.

Wounded in head by shrapnel and admitted to base hospital 26/05/1916. Died aged 26 years in September 1922 and interred in Horwich (Holy Trinity) Churchyard 20/09/1922.
