Son of Mr. and Mrs. David Fletcher, of 2, Hope Street, Little Hulton, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1915. Formerly Lance Corporal 19246, 1st/5th Bn., Border Regiment; formerly Private 148338, Machine Gun Corps.

Fox, Bernard –

Husband of Sarah Ellen Fox (nee Cain), of 1, Hartley Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted March 1915. Formerly Private 20823, 15th Bn., Welsh Regiment, attached 10th POW Company; formerly Private 519871, 907th Company, Labour Corps.

Gallagher, James Aloysious –

Son of James and Margaret Gallagher, of 14, High Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Worked for the London and North Western Railway Company as a Porter at Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted May 1915. Name also recorded as JANIUS in BJ&G.

Son of John and Mary Gibbons, of 60, Wilton Street, Whitefield, Lancashire.

Giles, Edward –

Son of Alfred and Mary Jane Giles, of 103, Bamford Road, Heywood, Lancashire. Formerly 3853, Middlesex Regiment.

Glaister, Stephen –

Son of Hannah Glaister, of Breightmet Hall, Bolton, Lancashire, and the late Alfred Glaister. An old boy of the Bolton Church Institute (1907-1908). Formerly 21st Bn., Royal Fusiliers. Invalided home in December 1915 with trench feet or frostbite.

Grayson, Alfred –

Son of Alfred Grayson, of Salford, Lancashire; husband of S. E. Grayson, of 71, Eve Road, Woking, Surrey. Assistant Schoolmaster at St. Cyprians, Manchester, Lancashire. Worked for Salford Corporation Education Department. Formerly 1908, Army Pay Corps.

Greenhalgh, Peter –

Son of Fred Greenhalgh, of 44, Northumberland, Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted November 1915. Formerly 18345, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Also served in Monmouthshire Regiment, and Royal West Surrey Regiment (62902). Suffered from the effects of gas poisoning and wounds received in action in September 1918 and died aged 24 years 31/03/1919. Interred in Farnworth Cemetery on 23/04/1919.

Greenhalgh, Frank –

Younger son of James Edward and Alice Greenhalgh, of 122, Buckley Lane, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted June 1915. Formerly 7767, Public Schools Bn., Royal Fusiliers. Brother E. Greenhalgh in the York and Lancaster Regiment.
