Lever, Tom –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Lever, of 31, Queensgate, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly employed in the Health Department of Bolton Corporation. Enlisted July 1915. Killed on or just after his 20th Birthday. Step-brother of Tom Brotherton.

Lownds, Harvey –

Son of Joseph Samuel and Mary Lownds, of 79, Loxham Street, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted October 1915. Formerly Corporal 51931, 16th Bn., Lancashire Fusiliers; Corporal 399539, 793rd Company, Labour Corps. In June 1917, whilst in hospital at Etaples, Lownds volunteered two and a half pints of his blood to save the life of an officer, and was rewarded a special leave. Reported as Harry Lowndes in F&WJ.

Lynch, Frank –

Son of James and Lucille Lynch, of 36, Borough Street, Pendleton, Lancashire. Formerly 80066, Royal Field Artillery.

Marsh, James Edward –

Son of William Henry Marsh, of 126, Manchester Road, Walkden, Lancashire. Formerly Acting Lance Corporal 18850, 67th Division Cyclists Corps. Wounded 04/09/1918.

Martin, Percy –

Son of the late Mr. T. Alfred Martin and Ann Martin, of 37, Park Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. An old boy of Farnworth, Grammar School. Formerly clerk to the Kearsley Local Board and District Council. Formerly 1st/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Commissioned October 1916.
