Forshaw, Harry –

Son of James and Sarah Forshaw, of 12, Rosebery Street, Westhoughton, Lancashire. Formerly a Booking Clerk with the London and North Western Railway Company at Chequerbent Station. Served through the Dardanelles Campaign, being wounded, and also suffered enteric fever. Suffered trench fever whilst serving in France.

Grundy, Robert (Bob) –

Son of George and Alice Grundy (stepmother), of 11, Hewart Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and the late Harrietta Grundy (nee Settle). Of 117, Weston Street, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire.

Hadcroft, Ernest –

Son of Richard and Fanny Hadcroft, of 120, Brackley Street, Walkden, Lancashire.

Hall, Robert Edward –

Son of Edward Hall, of 49, Robert Hall Street, Salford, Lancashire. Sentenced to 3 months hard labour 12/11/1915, by Civil Police, Rochdale, for Larceny.

Hall, Sam –

Son of the late Samuel and Emma Hall, of 27, Bella Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Over 16 years service with the Royal Marines.

Hamer, Harry –

Formerly a barman at the Crofters Hotel, St. Georges Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Wounded 14/05/1915 in the Dardanelles.

Hankinson, Richard –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Hankinson, of 25, George Arthur Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted March 1915. Formerly Welsh Regiment. Reported missing 28/04/1917 and later confirmed prisoner of war.

Higson, Harry –

Son of Mr W. and Elizabeth Higson, of 16, Church Street, Kearsley, Lancashire. Served in Gallipoli, Salonika and France.

Hutchinson, Joseph Albert –

Son of Pte. Joseph Hutchinson and Priscilla Hutchinson, of 2, Rose Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1915.

Ives, John –

Son of Thomas and Elizabeth Ives, of 62, Parliament Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Killed in the “Orkney Disaster” on HMS Hampshire. Body not recovered for burial.

Of Beresford Avenue, Bolton, Lancashire. Newspaper reports also records name as “John S James” and “J S Jones”. Reported as bright, genial and frank disposition, employed in warehouse of Messrs. R. Entwistle and Co., Lincoln Mills.
