Son of Mr. and Mrs. Haslam, of 975, Blackburn Road, Daniel Shore, Dunscar, Turton, Lancashire.

Haslam, John William –

Of 6, Victoria Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Caught aged 36 as an absentee from Devonport since 22/04/1915 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 30/04/1915 to be sent back to his ship under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/26)

Hatfield, John Isaiah –

Son of John Hatfield, of 3, Race Street, Trafford Road, Salford, Lancashire. Body not recovered for burial.

Haworth, William –

Son of Mr. and Elizabeth Haworth, of the Duke William Hotel, Ainsworth, Lancashire. An electrician on board HMS Stephen Furness, he lost his life when the vessel was torpedoed. Surname reported as HOWARTH in BJ&G. Body not recovered for burial.

Hayton, Arthur –

Son of Henry Hayton, of 4, Caygill Street, Salford, Lancashire, and the late Mary Ellen Hayton (nee Wolfe). Enlisted October 1914. Served on HMS Benbow at the Battle of Jutland.

Hayward, John (Jack) –

Son of John and Sarah Jane Hayward, of 18, Railway Terrace, Entwistle, Turton, Lancashire. Drowned when the Monmouth was sunk. Body not recovered for burial.

Heaton, James –

Husband of Daisy M. Heaton, of 63, Kensington Road, North End, Portsmouth, Hampshire. Died at Malta.
