Jones, James Joseph –

Son of James Martin Jones and Mary Ann Jones, of 280, Edge Lane, Droylsden, Lancashire. Formerly 50113, West Yorkshire Regiment.

Jones, William Hooper –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hooper Jones, of 190, Mount Pleasant, Hawkshaw, Lancashire. Served through the First World War. Formerly a Sergeant (1988) and Company Sergeant Major (200409) in the Lancashire Fusiliers, commissioned into the Northumberland Fusiliers 17/02/1917. A Royal Irish Constabulary Auxiliary Cadet, he was killed aged 24 years in the “Macroom Ambush”, at Kilmichael, County Cork, Ireland on 28/11/1920.

Husband of Mrs. Lane, of Garside Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Police Constable 192 of the Bolton County Borough Police from 01/04/1913 until mobilisation for War Service 06/08/1914. (Bolton Archives: ABJ/22/217). Wounded, right arm amputated.

Husband of Ada Annie Moss, of 32, Thompson Street, Blyth, Northumberland. Served in the South African Campaign.

Nuttall, William –

Son of the late James and Margaret Nuttall, of 316, Lever Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted November 1916. Killed by a shell.
