Adamson, Richard Anthony –

Husband of Mary Euphemia Adamson (nee Davey), of Corporation House, Rivington, Lancashire. A civil engineer, he previously served 2 years in the Cheshire Territorial Engineers and resigned due to moving away. Enlisted September 1914. Formerly Sergeant 15354, Royal Welsh Fusiliers. Commissioned Second Lieutenant 01/01/1915. Promoted Lieutenant 05/03/1915 and Captain six weeks later. Wounded severely in the right shoulder and left arm by shrapnel in France.

Son of Nicholas and Elizabeth Ellen Alsop, of 82, Wright Street, Horwich, Lancashire. Died of wounds in the head received from a trench mortar. Also recorded as ALLSOPP in BJ&G.
