Son of John Garwood, of 73, Keighley Road, Skipton, Yorkshire, and the late Margaret Garwood. Formerly Private 2466, West Riding Regiment.

Hailwood, Thomas –

Son of William Thomas and Charlotte Hailwood, of 10, Bull Lane, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly 98958, Durham Light Infantry. Recorded as T Hailwood on CWGC.

Harris, William –

One of six soldier sons of Mr. and Mrs. Harris, of 16, Radcliffe Road, Haulgh, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted September 1914. Reported missing since 05/05/1915 and subsequently presumed killed.

Harrison, Ernest C –

Eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Harrison, of 2, Ashbee Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and later of Ashworth Lane, Astley Bridge, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Lance Corporal, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment and Machine Gun Corps. Commissioned Second Lieutenant, West Riding Regiment in 1917. Reported severely wounded in September 1918, a bullet having penetrated his back and lodged in his chest. His only brother serving with the Royal Army Medical Corps.

Hunt, William –

Husband of Mrs. Hunt, of 93, Reservoir Street, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly employed by the London and North Western Railway Company as a Platelayer. Enlisted September 1914. Wounded.

Jones, Charles –

Son of William Thomas and Florence Jones, of 6, Broomfield Street, Marsh, Huddersfield, Yorkshire. Enlisted August 1915. Had family residing at 29, Kingsley Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Attended Chorley Old Road Congregational Church.

Kenyon, Robert –

Elder son of Thomas Kenyon, of Market Street, Bolton, Lancashire. An old boy of Bolton Grammar School. Held a Royal Humane Society’s certificate for saving a lady’s life at Cleveleys in 1915.

Longworth, James –

Husband of Mary Longworth (nee Dale), of 101, Moss Road, Kearsley, Lancashire, and formerly of 86, Primrose Street, Kearsley, Lancashire. Formerly a Fireman at Farnworth. Formerly Private 20151, 15th Bn., Cheshire Regiment; formerly Private 114251, Labour Corps.

Martin, John –

Son of John Martin, and of Alice Martin, of Little Lever, Lancashire.

McCarthy, John –

Husband of E. McCarthy, of 100, John Taylor Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Private 4392. Caught aged 22 as an absentee from the 3rd/6th Bn., West Riding Regiment at Clipstone since 20/09/1915 and 07/01/1916 and from 1st/6th Bn. at France since 06/12/1917. Appeared before Bolton Magistrates 23/10/1915, 21/01/1916 and 14/01/1918 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/26 & JBO/1/29).

McCusker, Charles –
