Motler, Arthur –

Husband of Mrs. Motler, of Leicester Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted September 1914. Formerly 4663, Lancashire Fusiliers. Killed by a machine gun bullet to the head. BJ&G records a service number of 20383. Two brothers also served.

Son of John William and Sarah Jane Norbury, of 12, Albion Street, Pendleton, Lancashire. In France.

Husband of Martha Schofield Partington (nee Butterworth), of 117, Bolton Old Road, Atherton, Lancashire. Discharged due to tuberculosis.

Pasquill, William –

Son of the late Archibald McLarty / Pasquill and Mrs. Martha Alice Pasquill, of 42, Eskrick Street, Brownlow Fold, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 81, Mortfield Lane, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly 3696, Lancashire Fusiliers.

Eldest son of Mr. Ralph Platt, of Wigan Road, Deane, Bolton, Lancashire. Graduated 1914 from Victoria University, Manchester as B.Sc. in the Honours School of Chemistry, and obtained the teachers’ diploma.

Son of Richard and Elizabeth Prescott, of 271, Manchester Road, Tyldesley, Lancashire.

Rowlands, Joseph –

Son of Joseph and Annie Rowlands, of 32, South Coal Pit Lane, Astley, Lancashire.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. M. Scott, and brother of John Charles Scott, of 127, St. James Street, New Bury, Farnworth, Lancashire.

Sheridan, Andrew –

Son of the late Thomas and Mary Sheridan, of 3, Back Foundry Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Caught aged 22 as an absentee from Southport since 10/02/1916 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 14/02/1916 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/26). One of four brothers who served.
