Son of David and Alice Ann Young, of 80, Worsley Road, Farnworth, Lancashire. Formerly employed as an assistant at the Farnworth Co-operative Society’s drapery stores. Enlisted March 1916. Formerly 4898, Cheshire Regiment. Memorial in Farnworth (St. James) Churchyard.
