Morris, Henry –

Son of Mr. Morris, of 44, Devon Street, Moses Gate, Farnworth, Lancashire; husband of Mrs. Morris, of 41, Elizabeth Street, Moses Gate, Farnworth, Lancashire, and formerly of 61, Price Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Initially reported missing and subsequently presumed killed. His brother Albert also served. Farnworth (All Saints) Church and School.

Moscrop, Abraham –

Brother of Samuel Moscrop, of 16, Gregson Field, Bolton, Lancashire. Served four years in India before going to France.

Mullaney, Edward –

Son of Dorothy Mullaney, of 9, Antelope Court, Churchgate, Bolton, Lancashire, and later of 34, Cross Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and the late James Mullaney. Had served ten years in the Militia before enlisting for War Service in August 1914. Reported missing in Gallipoli since 09/08/1915 and subsequently presumed killed.

Son of Henry and Betty Nield, of 21, Glynne Street, Bolton, Lancashire, formerly of 667, Manchester Road, Chequerbent, Westhoughton, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1915.

Nightingale, John William –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Nightingale, of 6, Moaty Street, Darcy Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Resided at 29, Maze Street, Darcy Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted December 1914. Formerly as side-piecer at Darcy Lever Mills. Attended the Wesleyan church and school. Two brothers also served.

Nuttall, William –

Son of Martha Nuttall (nee Berry), of 139, Bradford Street, Farnworth, Lancashire, and the late William Nuttall. Formerly of 12, Thomas Street, Kearsley, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1915. Brother Harry also served with the Royal Dublin Fusiliers.

O’Brien, John Joseph –

Son of the late Mrs. O’Brien, of 68, Crompton Street, Farnworth, Lancashire; husband of Alice O’Brien (nee Dudley), of 86, Crompton Street, Farnworth, Lancashire, and formerly of 45, Cooke Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1915. Wounded on first night in the trenches at Dardanelles, taken to Citadel Military Hospital, Cairo on 09/06/1915 where he had a leg amputated. Service number incorrectly recorded as 16100 on CWGC.
