Southworth, James Albert –

Son of James and Agnes Southworth, of 21, Turton Road, Bradshaw, Turton, Lancashire. Badly wounded in the right leg in March 1918.

Spencer, Dudley Cope –

Son of Edmund and Katherine Spencer, of 114, Turton Road, Bradshaw, Turton, Lancashire. A member of the Bolton Corps of the St. John Ambulance Brigade. Died of pneumonia in the Lord Derby Military Hospital, Warrington.

Stanley, Edward –

Son of Bradshaw Dymond Stanley, Sergeant of the County Police Office, and of Agnes Stanley, of 78, Bradshaw Road, Bradshaw, Turton, Lancashire. Formerly C/170, King’s Royal Rifle Corps, and Army Cyclist Corps. Posted missing since 20/07/1916 and subsequently presumed killed.

Vickers, James –

Son of the late Margaret Vickers, of 5, Longsight Lane, Harwood, Turton, Lancashire. Enlisted May 1916.

Waldron, Harry –

Son of Mrs. Sarah Waldron, of 17, Bradshaw Chapel, Bradshaw, Turton, Lancashire. Two brothers Fred and Walter also served.

Whittle, Herbert –

Son of John and Emma Whittle, of 21, Pen Street, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Mrs. Whittle, of Top-o’th’-Brow, Harwood, Turton, Lancashire and formerly of 61, Riding Gate, Harwood, Turton, Lancashire. Formerly Private 4016, 4th Bn., King’s Own Royal Lancaster Regiment. Died at the General Hospital in Etaples.

Wild, Samuel –

Eldest son of Mrs. Wild, of 84, Turton Road, Bradshaw, Turton, Lancashire; husband of Annie Wild, of 195, Tottington Road, Harwood, Turton, Lancashire. Died following appendicitis. Service number recorded as 78260 on SDGW.
