Edwards, Herbert –

Husband of Mrs. Edwards, of 5, Holmes Cottages, Temple Road, Halliwell, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Corporal 5368, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Caught aged 32 as an absentee from Felixstowe since 20/05/1918 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 28/05/1918 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/29). Wounded in October 1917 and again 15/09/1918.

Green, Thomas Wilkinson –

Only son of James Platt and Annie Green, of Eardington House, Mayor Street, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Gertrude Green, of 9, Church Road, Smithills, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted February 1917. Wounded 30/06/1918 and died of these wounds in a Base Hospital.
