An old boy of the Bolton Church Institute. Enlisted October 1914. Formerly 2662 / 248840, 5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Commissioned 25/01/1917. Wounded in the right foot and left arm 31/07/1917 and in hospital at Edinburgh.

Son of James Vickers, pawnbroker, and of Angelina Vickers, of 272, Blackburn Road, Bolton, Lancashire. An old boy of Bolton Municipal Secondary School. Hit by a projectile from an anti-aircraft gun whilst asleep and died in Boulogne Military Hospital.
