Crook, Matthew –

Son of James and Elizabeth Crook, of 7, Irma Street, Astley Bridge, Bolton, Lancashire. Whilst serving guarding the railway line at Mangotsfield, Gloucestershire, Matthew was accidentally killed by his brother Private William Crook, 5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, when a rifle William was handling discharged accidentally. One of two female friends being entertained by the brothers at the time was also wounded.

Cupitt, William –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Cupitt, of 17, Horrocks Street, Smithills, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 105, Settle Street, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Mrs. Cupitt, of 40, Hennon Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Posted missing since 30/11/1917 and subsequently presumed killed.

Son of Robert Davies, of 18, Manchester Road, Little Hulton, Lancashire. Wounded by gunshot in the left arm 20/06/1915. Sometimes reported as R Davies and R Davies in local newspapers.

Son of Thomas and Mary Ellen Dawson, of 102, Folds Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Wounded by gunshot to the head 19/06/1915.

Dewhurst, Albert –

Son of Mr. Dewhurst, of Hodgkiss Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Of 16, Mosley Common, Tyldesley, Lancashire. Killed instantly by a gunshot through the head on 30/11/1917.
