Recorded on Bolton County Borough Roll of Honour as 9th Bn., Essex Regiment.

Eaton, Arthur Wellesley –

Son of the late Edward Eaton, and of Mary Hannah Eaton (nee Allsop), of 41, Deansgate, Bolton, Lancashire. Late of Cranleigh School, Surrey. “Previously reported missing, now Killed in Action. He was instantly killed by enemy fire during operations in the vicinity of Mount Sorrel.” Body not recovered for burial.
