Husband of Alice Heaney (nee Cresswell), of 69, Shaw Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 146, Park Lane, Keighley, Yorkshire. Formerly Private 2325, 1st/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Slightly wounded 18/06/1915. Wounded February 1916. Reported wounded and missing since 26/10/1917 and subsequently presumed killed. Surname also reported as HEANY, and as HEANEV on SDGW.

Helm, George –

Son of George and Mary Helm; husband of Catherine Helm (nee Regan) – married 27/04/1917 at Ss. Peter and Paul’s R.C. Church, Bolton, Lancashire. Died aged 31 years in Prestwich Asylum, Lancashire. Interred at Heaton Cemetery on 13/01/1921 from 14, Crowther Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Surname sometimes also recorded as HELME.

Son of Michael and Mary Higgs, of 6, Bantry Street, Bolton, Lancashire, formerly of 70, Kirk Street, and 19, Peel Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted August 1915. Formerly 6197, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.

Holden, Thomas –

Son of Richard and Mary Ann Holden, of 63, Rothwell Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Gunner 137, 1st/3rd East Lancashire Brigade, Royal Field Artillery, enlisted 17/11/1908, discharged 22/01/1916 as completed period of engagement. Re-enlisted in Royal Garrison Artillery.

Horrocks, Henry Edward –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Horrocks, of 26, Cannon Street, Bolton, Lancashire; Husband of Mrs. Horrocks. Formerly employed as a car inspector and cash clerk in the Tramways Offices at Bridgeman Street Car Shed. Reported missing since 14/09/1916 and subsequently presumed killed.

Eldest son of Mrs. Howarth, of 54, Venice Street, Daubhill, Bolton, Lancashire. Father, a Corporation workman serving in the East Lancashire Regiment. Incorrectly reported as King’s Royal Rifle Corps in F&WJ.

Hudson, Joseph –

Son of William and Mary Hudson, of 30, Thynne Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Killed in a ‘terrible explosion’ at the front.

Jefferson, Thomas –
