Husband of Mary Ann McCarthy (nee Harkin), of 16, Claughton Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Served at the Siege of Ladysmith in the South African Campaign with the 1st Bn., King’s Liverpool Regiment from the age of 17.

McDonough, Alfred –

Husband of Jessie McDonough, of 66, Teal Street, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted June 1911. Died from pneumonia. Two brothers also served.

McGawley, John –

Son of John and Catherine McGawley, of Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Celia Bridget McGawley (nee Kelly), of 32, Basil Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted December 1914.

McGowan, James –

Son of Mr. J. McGovern, of 50, Back Foundry Street, Bolton, Lancashire.

McGreavy, James –

Son of Mrs. McGreavy, of 74, Holden Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted April 1915.

McGreavy, John –

Son of John and Annetta McGreavy, of 3, Crowther Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly 1683, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Reported wounded and missing and subsequently presumed killed.

McNally, John –

Husband of Mrs. McNally, of 67, Plover Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Completed 18 years’ service with the Lancashire Fusiliers, including time in the Reserve, just two weeks before the outbreak of war. Served in the South African Campaign.

Molyneux, Robert –

Eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. George Molyneux, of 27, Holden Street, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted September 1914. His brother John served in Mesopotamia (1917), and brother-in-law Jack in France.

Muldoon, James –

Husband of the late Amelia Muldoon (nee Horrocks), of 23, Gilbert Street, Bolton, Lancashire.

Mullaly, Thomas M –

Son of Thomas and Mary Ellen Mullaly, of 65, Matthew Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 79, Sydney Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Twice wounded. Surname also sometimes recorded as MULLABY or MULLAHY.

Naylor, James Foley –

Eldest son of Mrs. Naylor, of 22, High Street, Bolton, Lancashire and the late John Paul Naylor. Wounded in France on 09/05/1915.

Needham, Michael –

Son of Michael and Catherine Needham; husband of Mary Catherine Needham, of 61, Sidney Street, Bolton, Lancashire.
