Son of the Rev. J. D. Thomas, of Matlock, Derbyshire, and late of Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Sherwood Foresters. Commissioned. Reported missing since 03/05/1917 and subsequently presumed killed.

Vickers, Walter –

Husband of Mrs. Vickers, of 119, Gibbon Street, Daubhill, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted September 1914.

Waddington, Herbert –

Son of William Thomas Waddington and Alice Jane Waddington, of 266, Rishton Lane, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted November 1915.

Wallwork, William –

Younger son of William and Alice Wallwork, of 33, Hawthorne Road, Bolton, Lancashire. An old boy of Bolton Municipal Secondary School. Formerly employed by the Bolton Post Office. Enlisted October 1914. Attached to the Brigade. Headquarters he was instantly killed by a shell.

Son of Lambert Wilkins and Mrs. Wilkins, of 21, Hopefield Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 18, Higher Swan Lane, Bolton, Lancashire. A sniper and bomb thrower.

Son of Joseph and Jane Wood, of 95, Church Avenue, Daubhill, Bolton, Lancashire. An old boy of Bolton Municipal Secondary School.

Young, Harry –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Young, of 19, Gordon Avenue, Bolton, Lancashire.

Young, Albert –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Young, of 19, Gordon Avenue, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Mrs. Young, of 5, Bert Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Returned from South America where he had a tobacco plantation to enlist in October 1914. Reported wounded on 15/07/1916 and subsequently missing. Formerly “E” Company, 5th Bn., Middlesex Regiment. A brother serving in the Royal Field Artillery and another in the Navy.
